What to expect, minute by minute
4:30am pickup, 5:30 briefing at the launch site, 6:00 take-off in twilight, ~6:10 sunrise from the basket, 7:00 landing, breakfast and return ~9:30am. The basket holds 16–20 people in compartments: everyone gets the railing.
What to bring
Closed shoes, a sweater (desert dawn is cool, above the burner it's warm), a charged phone. No big bags in the basket.
